Christian Kirk is a professional American football wide receiver currently playing for the Houston Texans in the NFL. Previously with the Arizona Cardinals, he was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Before turning pro, Kirk played college football at Texas A&M University.
On November 18, 1996, Christian Davon Kirk was born. He would later become a professional football wide receiver.
In 2015, as a true freshman at Texas A&M, Christian Kirk earned a starting job, recorded 1,009 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games, and led the NCAA with a 24.4-yard punt return average.
In 2016, during his sophomore year, Christian Kirk played 13 games with 928 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, while again leading the NCAA with a 21.7-yard punt return average.
In 2017, as a junior, Christian Kirk played in 13 games, catching 71 passes for 919 yards and 10 touchdowns. He later declared for the 2018 NFL draft.
On May 14, 2018, it was revealed that Christian Kirk had been arrested for disorderly conduct and causing property damage in Scottsdale, Arizona, for an incident that occurred on February 3. He allegedly threw rocks at cars while intoxicated.
On May 29, 2018, all charges against Christian Kirk related to the February 3 incident were dropped.
On December 3, 2018, Christian Kirk was placed on injured reserve after suffering a broken foot in Week 13 of his rookie season with the Arizona Cardinals.
In 2018, Christian Kirk was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the NFL draft.
In 2019, Christian Kirk recorded 68 receptions for 709 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns for the Arizona Cardinals.
During the 2020 season, Christian Kirk had 48 receptions for 621 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns in 14 games with the Arizona Cardinals.
On January 2, 2021, Christian Kirk was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the Arizona Cardinals.
In the 2021 season, Christian Kirk finished as the leading receiver for the Arizona Cardinals with a career-high 77 catches for 982 yards and five touchdowns.
On March 16, 2022, Christian Kirk signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During the 2023 season, Christian Kirk recorded 57 receptions for 787 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games, before missing the last five games due to a core muscle injury.
During the 2024 season, Christian Kirk played eight games with 27 receptions for 379 yards and one touchdown. On November 2, he was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending broken collarbone.
On March 12, 2025, Christian Kirk was traded to the Houston Texans in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
In 2026, the Jacksonville Jaguars received a seventh-round pick as part of the trade that sent Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans.
