Colin Cowherd is a prominent American sports media personality. He started his career as a sports director and anchor in Las Vegas before joining ESPN in 2003. At ESPN, he hosted a radio show on ESPN Radio, co-hosted SportsNation, and hosted Colin's New Football Show. Currently, Cowherd hosts "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports 1, solidifying his presence in sports broadcasting.

In 1982, Colin Cowherd graduated from Ocosta High School in Westport. During high school, he played quarterback for the football team and was an All-Far West Conference guard for the basketball team.

On November 13, 2005, Colin Cowherd made controversial comments on the death of professional wrestler Eddie Guerrero on The Herd, leading to complaints and a reprimand from ESPN.
In November 2005, ESPN apologized for Colin Cowherd's comments regarding the death of Eddie Guerrero on The Herd. Cowherd was also reprimanded by ESPN Radio general manager Bruce Gilbert over his remarks.
On April 5, 2007, Colin Cowherd directed his listeners to "blow up" the sports blog The Big Lead by simultaneously visiting its home page, causing the site to go offline for approximately 96 hours. He faced no disciplinary action at the time, but ESPN instituted a zero tolerance policy of such activities in the future.
On November 28, 2007, one day after Sean Taylor's home invasion murder, Colin Cowherd made controversial comments claiming that Taylor's past had brought the tragedy on him and that Redskins fans who mourned him were not "grown-ups."
