Corey Kispert is an American professional basketball player currently with the Washington Wizards in the NBA. Before turning pro, Kispert played college basketball at Gonzaga University, where he earned consensus first-team All-American honors during his senior year. His college success led to him being drafted into the NBA, marking the beginning of his professional career.

On November 28, 2019, Corey Kispert scored 28 points and made seven of eight three-point attempts against Southern Mississippi in the opening round of the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis after scoring less than five points in his previous three games.
On December 26, 2020, Corey Kispert scored a career-high 32 points, tying the school record with nine three-pointers, in a 98–75 win against Virginia.
Following the 2020 season, Corey Kispert declared for the 2020 NBA draft but did not hire an agent. He ultimately decided to return for his senior season on August 3.
On July 29, 2021, Corey Kispert was drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft by the Washington Wizards, marking a significant milestone in his career.
In 2021, Virginia head coach Tony Bennett told Corey Kispert he needed to see him play more against top competition before deciding if he could play at Virginia. This motivated Kispert to prove himself against Virginia in an early season game. He felt this way because Virginia recruited Kispert but did not offer him a scholarship before he committed to Gonzaga.
On March 31, 2023, Corey Kispert made 9 of 14 three-pointers (64.3%) on the way to scoring 27 points in a game against the Orlando Magic, tying him for 2nd-most three-pointers in a game in franchise history.
On July 7, 2023, Corey Kispert married his girlfriend Jenn Wirth, whom he met at Gonzaga, at the Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, California.
On October 21, 2024, Corey Kispert and the Wizards agreed to a four–year, $54 million contract extension.
As of January 2025, Corey Kispert has a 38.2% career three-point percentage and in his second year with the Wizards, his three-point percentage was 42.4%, which was 10th best in the league.
On March 18, 2025, it was announced that Corey Kispert would miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb.
