Cruz Azul Reserves and its associated academy system are vital for nurturing young football talent, serving as a bridge to the professional level. Various reserve teams, including the active Cruz Azul Lagunas (Liga TDP) and former teams like Cruz Azul Hidalgo (Liga Premier), Cruz Azul Oaxaca, Cruz Azul Jasso and Cruz Azul Premier, have participated in different tiers of Mexican football. 1930: Establishment of Cruz Azul Hidalgo
