David Sedaris

David Sedaris is an American humorist, comedian, author, and radio contributor, gaining recognition in 1992 with his NPR broadcast of "Santaland Diaries." His career took off with the publication of his essay and short story collection, *Barrel Fever*, in 1994. *Naked* (1997) became the first of many New York Times Bestsellers. In 2000, his collection *Me Talk Pretty One Day* was awarded the Thurber Prize for American Humor, cementing his position as a prominent contemporary humorist.
