Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action RPG by CD Projekt Red, set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City. Based on Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk tabletop game, players control V, a mercenary who becomes linked to Johnny Silverhand (a rockstar and terrorist) via a bio-chip. V and Johnny must cooperate to separate and save V's life as Johnny's consciousness overwrites V's. The game explores themes of transhumanism, corporate power, and the struggle for survival in a bleak, technologically advanced future.
