Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action RPG developed by CD Projekt Red, based on Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk tabletop game. Set in the dystopian Night City, California, players control V, a mercenary. V becomes linked to Johnny Silverhand, a deceased rockstar and terrorist, via a bio-chip. As Johnny's engram overwrites V's consciousness, they must collaborate to separate and save V's life. The game explores themes of transhumanism, corporate power, and the value of human life in a technologically advanced and morally decaying world.
