Draco Malfoy is a key antagonist in the Harry Potter series, a Slytherin student in Harry's year. Accompanied by Crabbe and Goyle, he's portrayed as a cowardly bully, employing tricks and magic to achieve his goals. He is cunning and manipulative. In the film adaptations, Draco is played by Tom Felton.

1999: Rowling on Draco's Character

In 1999, Rowling described Draco as a bigot and a bully who knows exactly what will hurt people.

2001: Draco Becomes Slytherin Seeker

In 2001, Draco becomes the new Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team after his father, Lucius Malfoy, donates new Nimbus 2001 broomsticks.

July 2005: Rowling on Draco's Remorselessness

In a July 2005 interview, Rowling added that Draco, unlike Harry, never feels remorse for his actions, because Draco is capable of compartmentalizing his life and emotions.
