History of Hillgrove High School in Timeline

Hillgrove High School is a public high school located in unincorporated Cobb County, Georgia, part of the Cobb County School District. Identified as the district's fifteenth high school, its teams are represented by the Hawk mascot.

1952: Land Purchased by the Hills

In 1952, Harry and Harriet Hargrove Hill purchased the land to raise cattle and Tennessee Walking Horses.

2006: Establishment of Hillgrove High School

In 2006, Hillgrove High School was established on 98 acres of land donated by Harry Hill and Harriet Hargrove Hill.

2023: Marching Band Wins Grand Champions

In 2023, the Hillgrove Marching Band won Grand Champions at the Western Carolina University Tournament of Champions with their show Forew4rned.

2024: Premiere of "As the World Runs Dry"

The Hillgrove Marching Band's 2024 show, As the World Runs Dry, inspired by *Mad Max* and *Dune*, is set to premiere at BOA UAB.
