"Jellybean" Bryant was an American professional basketball player and coach who played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, San Diego Clippers, and Houston Rockets. He also played professionally in Italy and France. Following his playing career, he became a coach, leading teams in the NBA, WNBA, Italy, Japan, and Thailand. His son, Kobe Bryant, achieved legendary status in basketball and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
