Juventus-Mooca (CPTM)

Juventus-Mooca is a train station situated on Line 10-Turquoise of the CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos). This station is located in the Mooca district of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. As part of the CPTM network, it serves commuters traveling within the greater São Paulo metropolitan area.

1924: Station Yard Bombed

In 1924, during the São Paulo Revolt, the Juventus-Mooca station's yard was bombed, causing significant damage to the facilities.

1924: Juventus Athletic Club Founded

In 1924, the Juventus Athletic Club was founded in the Mooca neighborhood by Italian immigrants.

1946: Railway Nationalization

In 1946, after the nationalization of the railway, a gradual modernization project was implemented through American financing.

1960: New Station Building Opened

In 1960, a new station building was built and opened, which is the current station installation.

June 1984: CPTM Operation

Since June 1984, the Juventus-Mooca station has been operated by CPTM.

May 2005: Consortium Hired for Rebuild Projects

On 11 May 2005, the consortium composed of Maubertec and Herjack companies was contracted by CPTM for 845,974 BRL (505,714.64 USD) to create rebuild projects for Juventus-Mooca, Ipiranga, Utinga, and Prefeito Saladino stations.

March 2008: Projects Delivered

On 29 March 2008, the rebuild projects for the stations were delivered to CPTM, which then included them in the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC).

2010: Name Change Claim

In 2010, a group of Mooca residents requested the station's name be changed to Juventus-Mooca, after the Juventus Athletic Club.

2014: PAC Financing Cancelled

In 2014, due to the economic crisis, many PAC financings were cancelled, including the planned reconstruction of the Juventus-Mooca station.

November 2015: Station Renamed Juventus-Mooca

On 26 November 2015, the State Law No. 16018/2015 was published, officially renaming the Mooca station to Juventus-Mooca.
