January 2013: KT Baseball Club Admission Approved

On 11 January 2013, the Korea Baseball Organization officially approved KT Baseball Club's admission to KBO League, with participation starting in the 2015 season.

2014: KBO Futures League's Blue League division

In the 2014 season, the Suwon KT Wiz played as part of the KBO Futures League's Blue League division.

2015: Four Foreign Players Allowed on Roster

In 2015, as a new KBO League team, the KT Wiz were allowed four foreign players on their roster, including Phil Irwin, Andrew Sisco, Chris Oxspring, and Andy Marte. Sisco and Irwin were later replaced mid-season by Dan Black and Justin Germano, respectively.

2015: Elevation to KBO League

In 2015, the Suwon KT Wiz team was elevated to the KBO League.

2017: Foreign Player Allotment Reduced

Beginning in the 2017 season, the KT Wiz's allowed allotment of foreign players reverted to three to match the rest of the league.

2020: Playoff Appearance and Semifinal Elimination

In 2020, after five seasons without a playoff appearance, the KT Wiz finished second with an 81–62–1 record but were eliminated by the Doosan Bears in the semifinals after four games.
