On July 29, 2024, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that Lin Yu-ting and other female-identifying boxers had complied with all rules to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, regardless of their standing in previous International Boxing Association (IBA) competitions. This decision highlighted the ongoing dispute between the IOC and the Russian-led IBA.
