Little League Softball World Series

The Little League Softball World Series is an annual softball tournament for girls aged 10-12. Established in 1974, it takes place every August. Since 2022, the tournament has been held at Stallings Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina. Before that, it was in Portland, Oregon at Alpenrose Stadium. In 2022, the tournament expanded to include 12 teams, with the addition of 2 regions in the United States.

1974: First Little League Softball World Series

In 1974, the first Little League Softball World Series was held for girls aged 10 to 12 years old.

2022: Little League World Series Expansion

In 2022, Little League expanded the field of World Series participants to 12, adding 2 regions in the United States.

2022: New Regions added for Little League Softball World Series

In 2022, the East and West regions were divided to create four new regions (Mid-Atlantic, New England, Northwest, and West) for the Little League Softball World Series.
