Mark Hoppus is an American musician, record producer, and songwriter, best known as the co-lead vocalist, bassist, and co-founder of the iconic rock band Blink-182. On March 15, 1972, Mark Allan Hoppus was born. He later became an American musician, record producer, co-lead vocalist, co-founder, and bassist for the rock band Blink-182, and the only member to appear on every album.

In August 1992, Anne Hoppus introduced Mark Hoppus to Tom DeLonge. They immediately started playing music together. Hoppus broke both ankles trying to impress DeLonge.
In 1992, Mark Hoppus moved to San Diego to attend California State University San Marcos. His sister introduced him to Tom DeLonge, and together they formed the band Blink-182 with drummer Scott Raynor.
