Michael Robert "Mike" Tauchman is a professional baseball outfielder currently playing for the New York Mets. Drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2013 after leading NCAA Division I baseball in batting average (.425) in his senior year at Bradley University, he debuted in MLB in 2017. Prior to joining the Mets, Tauchman played for the Rockies, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and also played in the KBO League for the Hanwha Eagles. He was drafted in the 10th round of the 2013 MLB draft.
Mike Tauchman signed a minor league contract with the Mets, including a non-roster invitation. He hopes to recover from an injury and contribute to the team. The deal provides depth for the Mets' outfield.
