The Milan International, officially named L'Esposizione Internazionale del Sempione or The Great Expo of Work, was a world's fair held in Milan in 1906. The exposition attracted 4,012,776 visitors and spanned an area of 250 acres.

April 1906: Opening of the Milan International Fair and Simplon Tunnel

In April 1906, the Milan International Fair opened on April 28th, along with the inauguration of the Simplon Tunnel. The fair, located in Sempione Park and Piazza d'Armi, showcased fine arts, industrial, and engineering exhibits, alongside foreign pavilions. The venues were connected by the temporary Milan Exposition Elevated Railway.
