Pierce the Veil, an American rock band from San Diego, California, was founded in 2006 by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes. Emerging from the San Diego punk scene after their previous band, Before Today, disbanded, they added Jaime Preciado on bass and Tony Perry on lead guitar in 2007. Known for their post-hardcore sound, the band gained popularity and released four studio albums. Their final album, "Misadventures," came out in 2016, and the band has been inactive since 2017, though an official break-up has not been confirmed.
Following the disbandment of Before Today, brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes continued writing music in 2006 and recorded an album in Seattle with producer Casey Bates.
