John Lynch is a former NFL safety and current general manager of the San Francisco 49ers. After a college career at Stanford, he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1993, where he won Super Bowl XXXVII. Lynch also played for the Denver Broncos before retiring in 2008. Known for his hard-hitting style, Lynch earned nine Pro Bowl selections during his 15-season career. Following his playing career, he worked as a color commentator for NFL on Fox before transitioning to the 49ers' general manager role in 2017. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.
