Rasikh Salam

Rasikh Salam Dar is an Indian cricketer who has played for Jammu and Kashmir and now represents Baroda in domestic cricket. He also plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was previously with the Mumbai Indians, becoming the third cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to be selected in the IPL. Briefly, he was the youngest player to debut for Mumbai Indians. However, his career faced a setback when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) imposed a two-year ban due to a discrepancy in his birth certificate.

On 3 October 2018, Rasikh Salam made his List A debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

December 2018: Bought by Mumbai Indians

In December 2018, Rasikh Salam was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

On 30 December 2018, Rasikh Salam made his first-class debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.

February 2019: Twenty20 Debut

On 22 February 2019, Rasikh Salam made his Twenty20 debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

June 2019: Banned by BCCI

In June 2019, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) banned Rasikh Salam for two years due to a discrepancy with his birth certificate.

February 2022: Bought by Kolkata Knight Riders

In February 2022, Rasikh Salam was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament.

2024: Acquired by Delhi Capitals

In 2024, Rasikh Salam was acquired by Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League auction as a fast bowler.

2025: Sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru
