History of Reacher season 1 in Timeline

Reacher season 1 follows Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Army military policeman, as he arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, and is immediately arrested for a murder he didn't commit. He soon uncovers a vast conspiracy involving counterfeit money, corrupt officials, and powerful criminals. Reacher teams up with Officer Roscoe Conklin and Detective Oscar Finlay to investigate the crimes. He discovers that the organization is run by the Kliners, a powerful family with a dark secret. Throughout the season, Reacher uses his intelligence, strength, and combat skills to dismantle the criminal enterprise and bring the perpetrators to justice, while dealing with his brother's death and discovering corruption at the highest levels of the town's power structure.

On July 15, 2019, Amazon announced a TV series adaptation of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels. Nick Santora was set to write, showrun, and produce the series through Paramount Television and Skydance Media.

January 14, 2020: Jack Reacher TV Series Greenlit

On January 14, 2020, the Jack Reacher TV series was greenlit, with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, Christopher McQuarrie, and Lee Child as executive producers. The first season was announced as an adaptation of Lee Child's novel Killing Floor.
