Robert John Zastryzny is a Canadian-American professional baseball pitcher currently with the New York Yankees organization. He has played in MLB for several teams, including the Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Milwaukee Brewers. Prior to his professional career, Zastryzny played college baseball for the Missouri Tigers at the University of Missouri.
In 2013, the Chicago Cubs selected Zastryzny in the second round of the MLB draft. He started with the Boise Hawks and was promoted to the Kane County Cougars.
In 2014, Zastryzny pitched for the Daytona Cubs of the High-A Florida State League.
In 2015, Zastryzny pitched for the Tennessee Smokies and was later assigned to the Mesa Solar Sox.
In 2016, Zastryzny was promoted to the major leagues with the Chicago Cubs, making 11 appearances and achieving a 1-0 record with a 1.13 ERA. The Cubs won the 2016 World Series, earning Zastryzny his first World Series title.
