Rooster Fighter is a Japanese web manga by Shū Sakuratani, serialized since December 2020. It follows a rooster battling giant monsters. An anime adaptation by Sanzigen and Sola Entertainment is scheduled to premiere in the United States in March 2026, followed by a Japanese release in April 2026.

December 2020: Web Manga Series Serialization

In December 2020, the Japanese web manga series Rooster Fighter, written and illustrated by Shū Sakuratani, began serialization on Hero's Inc.'s Comiplex manga website.

December 18, 2020: Rooster Fighter Manga Series Launch

On December 18, 2020, Rooster Fighter, written and illustrated by Shū Sakuratani, debuted on Hero's Inc.'s Comiplex manga website.

May 1, 2021: First Tankōbon Volume Release

On May 1, 2021, the first tankōbon volume of the Rooster Fighter manga series was released.

August 16, 2022: North American Manga Release

On August 16, 2022, Viz Media released the first volume of the Rooster Fighter manga in North America.

July 2024: Anime Adaptation Announcement

In July 2024 at San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that the Rooster Fighter manga would receive an anime television series adaptation in collaboration with Hero's Inc.

January 5, 2026: Eleventh Volume Release

As of January 5, 2026, eleven volumes of the Rooster Fighter manga series have been released.

March 15, 2026: Anime Series Premieres in the U.S.

On March 15, 2026, the 12-episode Rooster Fighter anime series premiered English dubbed in the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block, before streaming the same day on Hulu (in the United States) and Disney+ (internationally) shortly after the linear broadcast. The streaming release includes the Japanese subtitled version.
