Disney+ is a subscription-based video on-demand streaming service owned by Disney. It primarily distributes films and television series produced by Walt Disney Studios and Disney Television Studios. It features dedicated content hubs for Disney's main brands like Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, ESPN and Hulu while also offering original, exclusive content. With 127.8 million paid memberships, it ranks as the third most-subscribed video on demand streaming service, trailing only Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
In 1946, the film Song of the South was released. It was mentioned that this film will never be released on the Disney+ service, due to its controversial content. Walt Disney Animation Studios' 1946 film Make Mine Music is not available on the service, possibly due to a gunfight scene, making it the only film in the Disney animated canon not to be included.
