Temba Bavuma is a South African international cricketer, currently captaining the national team in both Test and ODI formats. A right-handed middle-order batter, he holds the distinction of being the first black African cricketer to score a Test century for South Africa and the first to captain the team. Notably, he is one of only three South African cricketers to achieve a century on his ODI debut, scoring 113 runs against Ireland in 2016.
In 2008, Temba Bavuma made his debut for Gauteng against Eastern Province, scoring four runs in his first innings.
