In 1970s Hell's Kitchen, the wives of Irish mobsters – Kathy (Melissa McCarthy), Ruby (Tiffany Haddish), and Claire (Elisabeth Moss) – step up to run the family business after their husbands are imprisoned by the FBI. Initially aiming to provide for themselves, they quickly prove adept at organized crime, taking over operations and eliminating rivals. Their ruthless efficiency and methods, however, lead to conflicts with the existing mob structure and internal disagreements, ultimately transforming them into powerful figures in their own right within the criminal underworld.
