Michael Gregory Mizanin, known as The Miz, is an American professional wrestler, actor, and television personality currently signed to WWE, performing on the SmackDown brand. He is a prominent figure in professional wrestling and entertainment.
On October 8, 1980, Michael Gregory Mizanin was born in Parma, Ohio. He is known professionally as The Miz.
In 2001, Mizanin dropped out of college to appear on the 10th season of MTV's reality television program The Real World.
In 2001, Mizanin first gained fame as a participant on the reality television show "The Real World: Back to New York", marking the start of his career in reality TV.
In 2002, Mizanin appeared on the spin-off of the reality show The Real World called, Real World/Road Rules Challenge.
In 2003, pursuing a career as a professional wrestler, Mizanin made his in-ring debut as The Miz in Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW).
In October 2004, Mike Mizanin entered the fourth season of Tough Enough, a televised competition for a WWE contract.

At Royal Rumble on January 25, 2009, the Miz entered the Royal Rumble match at number 13, but was eliminated by Triple H.

On January 3, 2017, The Miz lost the Intercontinental Championship to Dean Ambrose on SmackDown Live, despite interference from Maryse.
In January 2018, The Miz returned and won the Intercontinental Championship back from Roman Reigns during the 25th Anniversary of Raw, marking his eighth reign with the title.
On March 27, 2018, The Miz and Maryse Ouellet welcomed their first daughter, Monroe Sky Mizanin.
After Matt Cappotelli's death from brain cancer in June 2018, Miz revealed they were to be called up to the SmackDown roster as a tag team known as Reality Check in 2005, but these plans were halted due to Cappotelli's cancer diagnosis.
In 2018, Mizanin and his wife Maryse began starring in a USA Network reality television series titled "Miz & Mrs.".
On January 27, 2019, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, The Miz and Shane McMahon defeated The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

In September 2021, Mizanin was announced as one of the celebrities competing on the thirtieth season of Dancing with the Stars. He and his partner Witney Carson were the seventh couple to be eliminated, ultimately placing 9th.
On Night 1 of WrestleMania XL on April 6, 2024, R-Truth climbed the ladder and retrieved the Raw Tag Team Championship to win the titles, giving the Miz his first title win since 2021.
