PSG Esports

PSG Esports is the esports division of the Paris Saint-Germain football club. Currently, they compete in EA Sports FC, Rocket League, and Arena of Valor. PSG Esports previously fielded teams in other popular esports titles like Dota 2, Brawl Stars, FIFA Online, League of Legends, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The organization's headquarters and training facility, Studio PSG, is located in Boulogne-Billancourt and also houses the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Esports.

October 2016: PSG Esports Acquires League of Legends License

In October 2016, PSG Esports acquired Team Huma's League of Legends (LoL) license to compete in the League of Legends Challenger Series.

October 2016: PSG Esports Founded and Enters EA Sports FC

In October 2016, PSG Esports was founded and entered esports with a team in the football video game EA Sports FC (formerly known as FIFA). Paris Saint-Germain became the first major European club to launch a professional esports department.

December 2016: PSG Esports Reveals League of Legends Roster

In December 2016, PSG Esports revealed their League of Legends roster, consisting of Steve, Blanc, Kirei, Sprattel, and Pilot.

February 2017: Duke Joins PSG Esports as League of Legends Coach

In February 2017, Duke joined PSG Esports as the coach for their League of Legends team.

September 2017: PSG Esports Enters Rocket League

In September 2017, PSG Esports entered Rocket League after signing the team of Ferra, Bluey, and Chausette45.

October 2017: PSG Esports Withdraws from League of Legends

In October 2017, after two unsuccessful attempts to qualify for the LEC, PSG Esports withdrew from League of Legends due to qualification difficulties and revenue sharing issues.

November 2017: PSG Esports Wins ESL Championnat National

In November 2017, PSG Esports won their first Rocket League title, the ESL Championnat National championship at the Paris Games Week.

2017: Daxe Wins the Esports World Convention and Gamers Assembly

In 2017, Daxe won the Esports World Convention championship for the second time, and also won the Gamers Assembly, adding to PSG Esport's accolades in EA Sports FC.

February 2018: PSG Esports Wins DreamHack Leipzig

In February 2018, the PSG Esports Rocket League team won DreamHack Leipzig.

August 2018: Fruity Joins PSG Esports Rocket League Team; Wins The Colosseum

In August 2018, Fruity replaced Bluey on the PSG Esports Rocket League team, and the team went on to win The Colosseum.

October 2018: PSG Esports Expands Partnership with LGD Gaming to FIFA Online

In October 2018, PSG Esports expanded their partnership with LGD Gaming to include a FIFA Online section, which entered the FIFA eWorld Cup circuit.

2018: First PSG.LGD Dota 2 roster formed

From 2018, the first PSG.LGD Dota 2 roster consisted of Ame, Somnus丶M, Fy, xNova and Chalice.

2018: PSG partners with LGD Gaming in Dota 2

In 2018, PSG Esports partnered with LGD Gaming in Dota 2, leading to multiple tournament wins.

2018: WNU Fiddle Wins Gfinity US Spring Cup

In 2018, WNU Fiddle won the Gfinity US Spring Cup, contributing to the success of the PSG Esports EA Sports FC team.

February 2019: PSG Esports Enters Brawl Stars

February 2019: PSG Esports Partners with RRQ for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Team

In February 2019, PSG Esports partnered with Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) to create a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team. The club signed the roster of Indonesian Mobile Legends team RRQ, rebranding them as PSG.RRQ.

July 2019: Maniika Departs PSG Esports FIFA Online Team

In July 2019, Maniika departed from the PSG Esports FIFA Online team.

July 2019: PSG and RRQ Partnership Ends

In July 2019, after seven months, the partnership between PSG and RRQ ended as the club wanted to focus on other games, especially Brawl Stars.

In July 2019, the PSG Esports Rocket League team retained the DreamHack title at Valencia.

August 2019: PSG Esports Rocket League Roster Leaves Club

In early August 2019, PSG Esports announced that its Rocket League roster had left the club.

September 2019: PSG Esports Wins ECN Brawl Stars Summer

In September 2019, PSG Esports won their first Brawl Stars trophy, being crowned champions of the ECN Brawl Stars Summer.

2019: First PSG.LGD Dota 2 Roster Disbands

The initial PSG.LGD Dota 2 roster disbanded after finishing 3rd at The International 2019.

June 2020: PSG Confirms Return to League of Legends

In June 2020, PSG confirmed its return to League of Legends through a multi-year team partnership agreement with Talon Esports to form PSG Talon.

November 2020: PSG Esports Wins Brawl Stars World Championship

In November 2020, PSG Esports won the Brawl Stars World Championship, defeating INTZ in the final with Response named MVP of the tournament and pocketing $250k.

December 2020: PSG Esports Studio Announced

In December 2020, PSG Esports announced the creation of the PSG Studio, a multifunctional space located in Boulogne-Billancourt intended for sports and digital activities. The studio also serves as the training center for PSG's professional teams.

December 2020: Paris Saint-Germain Academy Esports Launched

In December 2020, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Esports was launched at the PSG Studio in Boulogne-Billancourt to teach Esport through courses and training sessions on different video games and media.

2020: PSG Esports FIFA Online Team Becomes Inactive

By 2020, the remaining players Zarate and Ga had left the PSG Esports FIFA Online team, which has remained inactive ever since.

2020: Roster change for PSG.LGD's Dota 2 team

From late 2020, the roster was formed by Ame, NothingToSay, Faith_bian, XinQ and y`.

July 2021: PSG Esports Launches Arena of Valor Team

In July 2021, PSG Esports launched a team on Arena of Valor, a popular multiplayer online battle arena game in Asia. The team competes in the RoV Pro League with an all-Thai roster and coach.

August 2021: PSG Esports Arena of Valor Team Debut

In August 2021, the PSG Esports Arena of Valor team debuted with former team captain FirstOne leading his old teammates Ash, Jdai, Nam-CS, Sharkz, and Hrlquin as coach.

2021: PSG Talon Wins Spring and Summer Splits

In 2021, PSG Talon won both the Spring and Summer Splits in League of Legends.

2021: PSG Esports Studio Opened

In 2021, the PSG Esports Studio opened its doors. Located in Boulogne-Billancourt, the 140m2 space houses training sessions and competitions for PSG's professional teams and the Paris Saint-Germain Academy Esports and functions as a recording studio. It is equipped with six PlayStation 5, five Nintendo Switch and five gaming PCs.

2022: PSG.Tundra Competes in RLCS 2022-23

During the 2022-23 season, PSG.Tundra participated in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) but narrowly missed qualifying for the Major and World Championships, finishing in 8th place.

In 2022, PSG Talon won the Spring Split in League of Legends.

May 2023: PSG Esports Returns to Rocket League with Tundra Esports Partnership

In May 2023, PSG Esports made its comeback to Rocket League by teaming up with British organization Tundra Esports, forming PSG.Tundra.

May 2023: PSG and Talon Esports Extend Collaboration

In May 2023, PSG and Talon Esports extended their collaboration for League of Legends for another three years.

June 2023: PSG.Tundra Wins RTBF iXPé Online Sessions

In June 2023, PSG.Tundra won its first title, the RTBF iXPé Online Sessions, in Rocket League.

Before the start of The International 2023, in September 2023, the partnership between PSG Esports and LGD Gaming expired, reverting the Dota 2 roster back to LGD Gaming.
