Tormenta

Tormenta is the most popular and expansive tabletop role-playing game (RPG) setting in Brazil. Created in 1999 by J.M. Trevisan, Marcelo Cassaro, and Rogério Saladino, it was originally conceived as a series of articles for Dragão Brasil magazine. Set in the fantasy world of Arton, the setting features a unique pantheon of gods who directly influence the mortal plane, a diverse array of races, and a classic high-fantasy aesthetic inspired by anime and comic books. Over the decades, Tormenta has evolved through multiple editions—such as Tormenta20—and has expanded into an extensive transmedia franchise including novels, comics, audio dramas, and various supplements. It is widely considered the defining brand of the Brazilian RPG market, known for its creative freedom, rich lore, and strong community engagement.
