The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory located in the Atlantic Ocean. Known for tourism and offshore finance, the islands' population is estimated between 47,720 and 59,367, making it the third most populous British overseas territory. The territory consists of the larger Caicos Islands and the smaller Turks Islands, both part of the Lucayan Archipelago.
