Venezuela Solidarity Campaign

The Venezuela Solidarity Campaign (VSC) is a British political organization dedicated to supporting the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela and opposing perceived threats against it. A Scottish branch of the organization exists, known as the Scottish Venezuela Solidarity Campaign (SVSC). The VSC engages in advocacy and activism to promote solidarity with Venezuela's political project.

2005: Establishment of Venezuela Solidarity Campaign

In 2005, the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign (VSC) was established in response to an attempted military coup against Hugo Chávez, the then President of Venezuela. The campaign aimed to strengthen links between trade unionists in Britain and Venezuela, organize solidarity tours to Venezuela, and promote awareness of the Bolivarian Revolution.

2009: Promotion of 'Inside the Revolution' Documentary

In 2009, the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign began promoting the documentary DVD, 'Inside the Revolution: A Journey into the Heart of Venezuela', which was directed by Pablo Navarrete.

2013: Campaign Continues Support After Chávez's Death

Following the death of Hugo Chávez in 2013, the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign (VSC) continued its work by supporting Nicolás Maduro, Chávez's successor as president.

2015: VSC and SVSC Activities

In 2015, the VSC and SVSC maintained websites with information about Venezuela, organized conferences and lectures, published a magazine named Viva Venezuela!, maintained a social media presence, and sought to influence parliamentarians.
