Wendell Carter Jr. is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Orlando Magic in the NBA. He previously played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He is a well-regarded player known for his skills on the court.

In 2015, he also earned the Georgia Region 6 AA Player of the Year and second-team Atlanta Tipoff Club All Metro-honors after his sophomore season.
In 2016, Wendell Carter Jr. was rated as a five-star recruit and the No. 4 overall recruit and No. 1 power forward in the 2017 high school class.
In 2016, during his junior season, Wendell Carter Jr. led Pace Academy to win the Georgia class AA state Championship, scoring 30 points and recording 20 rebounds in the state finals game. Also in 2016, he competed for the AAU team, Team CP3 on the Nike EYBL Circuit and earned second-team All-EYBL honoree.
On March 9, 2017, Wendell Carter Jr. led the Knights to a Georgia class 3A state championship. He averaged 22.7 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 5.8 blocks during his senior year.
In July 2017, Following High school, Wendell Carter Jr. was named to the All-Tournament Team of the 2016 FIBA Under-17 World Championship.
On December 20, 2017, Wendell Carter Jr. scored a career-high 27 points in a 104–40 blowout win against Evansville.
