Wilmer Flores

Wilmer Flores, nicknamed "Catire", is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder and current free agent. He debuted in MLB in 2013 with the New York Mets, after signing with them as an international free agent on his 16th birthday in 2007. He has also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants. Flores is known for his versatility as an infielder.

2017: Disabled list and broken nose

In 2017, the Mets placed Wilmer Flores on the 10-day disabled list with an infection in his knee. Flores also broke his nose on a foul-tip against the Houston Astros on September 2, which ended his season. Flores finished the season batting .271/.307/.488 with 18 home runs.
