Allstate is an American insurance company established in 1931 as a subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck and Co. Headquartered in Glenview, Illinois since 2022, it became fully independent in June 1995 after being spun off in 1993, though Sears retained partial ownership for a time. Allstate also provides personal line insurance services in Canada.

1925: Sears Held a National Contest
