Claressa Shields is an American professional boxer and former mixed martial artist, achieving world championships across five weight classes. She was the undisputed female light middleweight champion in 2021, a two-time undisputed female middleweight champion (2019-2024), held WBC and IBF female super middleweight titles (2017-2018), the WBO female light heavyweight title, and became the undisputed female heavyweight champion in 2025. Shields holds the record for becoming a two, three, four and five division world champion in the fewest professional fights. As of October 2022, she was ranked the world's best active female middleweight by BoxRec and the best active female boxer, pound for pound, by ESPN and The Ring.
