The Corales Puntacana Championship is a PGA Tour golf tournament held in the Dominican Republic at the Puntacana Resort and Club in La Altagracia province. It originated in 2016 and was previously part of the Web.com Tour.

2016: Inaugural Event

In 2016, the inaugural Corales Puntacana Championship event was held in early June.

2016: First Corales Puntacana Championship

In 2016, the inaugural Corales Puntacana Championship, a golf tournament, was first played at the Puntacana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic.

2017: Event Date Moved

In 2017, the Corales Puntacana Championship event was moved to early May.

March 2018: Transition to PGA Tour Alternate Event

In March 2018, the Corales Puntacana Championship transitioned from a Web.com Tour event to a PGA Tour alternate event, opposite the WGC Match Play in Texas. This marked the first PGA Tour event held in the Dominican Republic.

2020: Postponement of 2020 Tournament

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Corales Puntacana Championship tournament was postponed until September.

2021: Full FedEx Cup Point Event Status

During the 2020-21 PGA Tour season, the tournament was elevated to full FedEx Cup point event status, with the winner receiving a 2021 Masters Tournament invitation.

2024: Tournament Moved to April Date

For the 2024 PGA Tour season, the Corales Puntacana Championship tournament was moved to an April date, played as an "Additional" event in the same week as the RBC Heritage.
