2005: Fitch and Getaz collaborate on The Soldier's Tale

In 2005, Doug Fitch and Edouard Getaz met and collaborated on the production of The Soldier's Tale for the New York Philharmonic. Fitch directed, and Getaz produced the show, which featured 'live-animation,' a signature technique later used by Giants Are Small.

2005: The Soldier's Tale is presented at Avery Fisher Hall

In 2005, Igor Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale, directed by Doug Fitch and produced by Edouard Getaz, was presented at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, by the New York Philharmonic. 2011: The Cunning Little Vixen Production

In June 2013, Giants Are Small and the New York Philharmonic collaborated on Igor Stravinsky’s ballet Petrushka, which was conducted by Alan Gilbert, directed and designed by Doug Fitch, and video directed and produced by Edouard Getaz at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. New York City Ballet's Sara Mearns was the star ballerina.

September 2013: A Dancer’s Dream Film Distribution

In September 2013, a film based on Giants Are Small’s production of A Dancer’s Dream for the New York Philharmonic's program was distributed in cinemas in the US by SpectiCast. The film was directed by Habib Azar.

2014: Gloria: A Pig Tale at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

In 2014, Giants Are Small presented Heinz Karl Gruber's comic opera Gloria: A Pig Tale at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the New York Philharmonic Biennale. It was directed by Doug Fitch and conducted by Alan Gilbert.

April 2015: Petrushka European Première in London

It features narration by Alice Cooper (English), Campino (German), and Paul Haenen (Dutch).
