Gordie Howe Bridge (Saskatoon)

The Gordie Howe Bridge is a 440-meter-long steel girder bridge in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, that spans the South Saskatchewan River. It is the southernmost road bridge in the city and part of the Circle Drive freeway system. Built adjacent to the Grand Trunk Bridge, it holds the distinction of being Saskatoon's longest bridge and the first with a concrete road surface. The construction was projected to cost $272.5 million. While initially slated to open on September 30, 2012, the bridge's completion was delayed due to adverse weather conditions, and it eventually opened on July 31, 2013.
