He gained prominence during his four-year college career at Duke University, where he won a national championship in 2015 and was considered one of the team's best players of the decade. Drafted 21st overall by the Utah Jazz in 2018, Allen also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks before joining the Suns in 2023.
