The Memphis Grizzlies are a professional basketball team based in Memphis, Tennessee, competing in the NBA's Southwest Division of the Western Conference. They play their home games at FedExForum and are the only major professional sports team in Memphis. They are one of four professional sports teams in the state of Tennessee, the others being in Nashville.
In 1968, the Memphis Grizzlies "City" uniform featured lettering based on the "I am a Man" protest banners from the Memphis sanitation strike.
