Iron Beam

Iron Beam, also known as Laser Dome or Eitan's Light, is a directed-energy air defense system. Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, an Israeli defense contractor, it was revealed in 2014. As a directed-energy weapon, it is designed to intercept and destroy short-range threats like rockets, mortars, and drones using a high-energy laser. The system is intended to complement Israel's existing multi-layered air defense array, offering a cost-effective solution for neutralizing smaller, closer-range targets that other systems might find less efficient to engage.
