Juan Carlos Escarra is an American professional baseball catcher currently playing for the New York Yankees in MLB. He began his Major League Baseball career in 2025. He is a professional athlete.

In 2015, Escarra played for the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
In 2017, Escarra was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 15th round of the Major League Baseball draft and made his professional debut with the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Orioles, hitting .224 in 58 games.
In 2018, Escarra split the season between the Low-A Aberdeen IronBirds and High-A Frederick Keys, batting .315 with 7 home runs and 38 RBIs in 63 games.
In 2019, Escarra played in 127 games for Frederick Keys, hitting .235 with 13 home runs and 57 RBIs.
In 2020, Escarra did not play in a game due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Escarra returned to action with the Double-A Bowie Baysox and Triple-A Norfolk Tides, batting .223 with eight home runs and 38 RBIs in 95 games.
On April 6, 2022, Escarra was released by the Orioles organization.
On April 7, 2022, Escarra signed with the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association, where he mostly played catcher, hitting .291 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs in 70 games.
In October 2022, Escarra married his wife, Jocelyn.
On April 13, 2023, Escarra signed with the Gastonia Honey Hunters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, slashing .348/.423/.707 with 15 home runs and 41 RBIs in 41 appearances.
On July 14, 2023, Escarra was traded to the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna. He hit .263 with one home run and 14 RBIs in 21 games.
On January 11, 2024, Escarra signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees, including an invitation to spring training. He started the season for the Somerset Patriots and was later promoted to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
In February 2024, Escarra played for Puerto Rico's representative at the 2024 Caribbean Series, the Criollos de Caguas.
On March 29, 2025, Escarra made his Major League Baseball debut against the Milwaukee Brewers.
