CeeDee Lamb is a professional American football wide receiver currently playing for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. He was a standout college player for the Oklahoma Sooners, earning consensus All-American honors in 2019. Lamb was drafted by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has quickly become a key player for the team.
On April 8, 1999, Cedarian DeLeon "CeeDee" Lamb was born. He is now a professional football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
In 2005, CeeDee Lamb and his family evacuated from New Orleans to Houston, Texas, due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
In 2017, as a true freshman at Oklahoma, CeeDee Lamb played in all 14 games. He had 46 receptions for 807 yards (a school freshman record) and seven touchdowns (tying the school freshman record). Lamb also received freshman All-American honors by ESPN.
In 2018, CeeDee Lamb played in all 14 games for the Oklahoma Sooners. Lamb caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 11 touchdowns, leading the team. He also had 17 punt returns for 218 yards. Lamb had a career-high 167 receiving yards in the Big 12 Championship win against Texas and also had a career-high eight receptions for 109 yards against Alabama in the Orange Bowl.
In 2019, CeeDee Lamb was named a first-team All-American. He had 62 receptions for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. Lamb was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big 12 Championship.
On July 23, 2020, CeeDee Lamb signed a 4-year, $14.01 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $7.7 million signing bonus.
On December 29, CeeDee Lamb announced that he would forgo his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL draft.
In 2022, CeeDee Lamb finished the season with 79 receptions for 1,102 yards and six touchdowns. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl and was ranked 95th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2022.
In 2022, CeeDee Lamb had career highs with 107 receptions, 1,359 yards, and nine touchdowns. Lamb was named a Pro Bowler for the second time and was also named to the AP All-Pro 2nd Team. He recorded his first postseason touchdown in the Wild Card Round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On August 26, 2024, CeeDee Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys through the 2028 season.
In the 2025 NFL season, CeeDee Lamb suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, sidelining him for three games after he dropped 4 passes in Week 1. Despite 9 receptions and 112 yards in Week 2 against the New York Giants, Lamb faced challenges during the season.
