JP Cooney is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays prop for Connacht Rugby in the Pro14. Capable of playing on either side of the scrum, Cooney joined Connacht in 2012 from Garryowen, an All-Ireland League club. He is an established player within the Connacht squad.
