Jeffrey Ross Lifschultz, known as Jeff Ross, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, director, and producer. He is often called the "Roastmaster General" due to his prominent role in insult comedy, specifically his frequent appearances in celebrity roasts for the New York Friars Club, Comedy Central Roasts, and Netflix's Historical Roasts. The Chicago Tribune likened him to Don Rickles in 2009. Ross's directorial debut, the documentary "Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie," won Best Film at the Comedia film festival in Montreal's Just for Laughs comedy festival.
