He ended the season with a combined slash line of .290/.355/.543 with 20 home runs, 77 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases.
In 2019, Adell participated in spring training and was named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game. He was promoted to the Salt Lake Bees and selected for the United States national baseball team in the 2019 WBSC Premier 12, where he excelled with a .394 batting average and three home runs.
On August 4, 2020, Adell was promoted to the major leagues by the Angels and made his debut against the Seattle Mariners, going 1-for-4.

In 2022, Adell appeared in a career-high 88 games for the Angels, slashing .224/.264/.373 with eight home runs and 27 RBIs.
In 2023, Adell set an Angels franchise record by homering in 6 consecutive games in April. On June 21, Adell hit a 514-foot home run, the longest since Statcast tracking started.
On September 7, 2024, Adell was placed on the injured list with a left oblique strain, ending his season.
On April 10, 2025, Adell became the third player in Angels history to hit two home runs in one inning during an 11–1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
