John Hope Bryant is a prominent American financial literacy entrepreneur and businessman. He is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Operation HOPE, a non-profit focused on financial empowerment. He also leads Bryant Group Ventures and The Promise Homes Company. Bryant is a co-founder of Global Dignity and an author of bestselling books on economics and leadership. He has served in advisory roles for both Presidents Bush and Obama, including vice-chair of President Bush's Council on Financial Literacy and a member of President Obama's Advisory Council on Financial Capability. He's also chaired the Committee on the Underserved.
On May 5, 1992, John Hope Bryant founded Operation HOPE, Inc. immediately following the 1992 Rodney King riots in Los Angeles, California.
