John Ternus

John Ternus is Apple Inc.'s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, a position he has held since 2021. Reporting directly to CEO Tim Cook, Ternus is responsible for leading all hardware engineering teams within the company.


1997: Graduation from the University of Pennsylvania

In 1997, John Ternus received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a major in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

2001: Joined Apple

In 2001, John Ternus joined Apple as a member of the product design team.
