Tage Thompson is an American professional ice hockey center and alternate captain for the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL. Drafted 26th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2016, he played one season with them before being traded to the Sabres. Prior to his NHL career, Thompson played college hockey at the University of Connecticut.

On March 7, 2017, after completing his sophomore season with the Huskies, Thompson concluded his collegiate career and signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues. He joined the Chicago Wolves of the AHL on an amateur tryout contract for the remainder of the 2016–17 season.
On October 4, 2017, Tage Thompson made his NHL debut playing for the Blues against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
