Keenan Allen is a prominent American football wide receiver currently playing for the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL. He previously played college football at the University of California, leaving after his junior year. Allen was drafted by the Chargers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He is known for his route-running precision and reliable hands, making him a consistent target in the passing game, and briefly played for the Chicago Bears.
In 1978, John Jefferson set the Chargers rookie record with 1,001 receiving yards. Keenan Allen would later break this record in 2013.
