Lipscomb University

Lipscomb University is a private Christian university located in Nashville, Tennessee, affiliated with the Churches of Christ. Its main campus resides in Green Hills, with a satellite location, "Spark," in Downtown Nashville catering to the business community. The fall 2022 semester saw a total enrollment of 4,704 students, comprising 2,955 undergraduates and 1,749 graduate students. Lipscomb is currently ranked as the #3 Best College in Tennessee.

1948: First Graduating Class

In 1948, Lipscomb University, then known as David Lipscomb College, graduated its first senior class.

1954: First Accreditation

In 1954, Lipscomb University received its first accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

1988: Attainment of Level III Status

In 1988, Lipscomb attained Level III status, which allowed it to grant master's degrees, and the institution became known as Lipscomb University.
